~DISMANTLING, RE-ASSEMBLING, AND CONSTUCTING ANEW~
Description: The project began with a simple enough task: dismantling an 18th century mantle. Taking it apart was challenging, much like extracting teeth with tweezers. The ambition was clear enough, as my mind had already given birth to the idea of this old girls makeover. But as I laid the pieces on the floor, I was struck by a particular sense of nostalgia mixed with excitement and impending dread. Each plank, post, and screw felt like fragments of another craftman's life, not just their design
